I like the hop Summit. It was one of the first I bought, and I was pleased with how it worked in a beer. It's got a grapefruit bitterness and grassy overtones. Some have warned that overuse can give a beer oniony or garlicy tones, but combined correctly it creates a distinct and different beer. I combined it with Cascade and made a beer called Miracle on 8th Street. Then last night I had a bottle of Ilkley Lotus IPA. I used Munich malt instead of caramel but otherwise it's the same. Wouldn't mind if they weren't just up the road.
