In the spirit of experimentation I did not one but two small brews last week. AG#3 is Blackeyed Dog (edit - now renamed Nightwatchman), a strong, dry stout that been an introduction to the darker malts and getting strength into a brew. That's still in FV although I'll probably have it out tomorrow. AG#4 is a reworking of AG#1, an ordinary bitter with Challenger, Styrian Goldings and Fuggles for aroma which didn't seem to be performing that well in the FV but that I've now tested and seems to be ready to bottle, and tastes pretty much as I want it to although its OG was only about 1031, down from the 1038 or so that I really wanted. However, I did a mash in and mash out for it and got 10L of wort, which was probably part of the reason - I had calculated about 8L.

Next is an IPA and a determination to actually get some strength into it!
