The Sparks Brothers is a 2021 film produced by Edgar Wright, who also produced the rarely seen arthouse classic Hot Fuzz. It is, of course, a celebration of the band featuring fans, people who have worked with them, and the band themselves. At the moment it isn't available to watch on subscription streaming services (it was on Netflix last year and I didn't watch it then) and a soundtrack LP that was apparently vinyl only and a playlist on Spotify. Being produced by Edgar Wright, it's more than just a simple hagiography, and being Sparks, it's playful, fun and tells you very little about the people behind the music. At this stage it's quite possible that we know more about The Residents. Anyway, there are a bunch of clips on YouTube, and if I ever get the time to pay £3.99 and sit through a film ever again, I'll choose this one.
