Having known about Sparks since I was about 8, I have to admit that this month is the first time that I have listened to all their LPs. From a daily listen I don't think they've ever made a genuinely bad record, but there are LPs that haven't aged well. That said, and for what it's worth, here's my top 10 tracks in chronological order:
- Amateur Hour (Kimono My House)
- Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth (Propaganda)
- Nothing To Do (Big Beat)
- Forever Young (Introducing Sparks)
- Number One Song In Heaven (No1 in Heaven)
- Change (Music That You Can Dance To)
- When Do I Get To Sing My Way (Gratuitous Sax and Senseless Violins)
- My Baby's Taking Me Home (Lil' Beethoven)
- So May We Start (Annette)
- The Girl is Crying In Her Latte (The Girl is Crying In Her Latte)
It's been fun. Happy #sparkstember everyone!
